What is a sacrament?
A sacrament is one of seven sacraments in the Catholic Church celebrations. You can group the sacraments in to three different groups. The first group is called initiation it has three sacraments under it Babtism, echuarist and Confirmation. These sacraments are the three rights that welcomes someone into the Christian Church. The second group is called healing it includes two sacraments Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick. The third group is called serving the Church and the mission of the faithful it includes two sacraments holy orders and marriage.
Babtism-
holy water is water that Has been blessed by a member of the religious community. During a Babtism the people are welcomed to the alter the priest will ask there full name and then do a cross on there head. They then pour the water on the person how is being Babtised,Then the priest says I babtisenm you in the father and the son of the Holy Spirit while the water is being poured on his head, then two oils are aplied to the child’s head, then the god pearnts bow in frount of the child. Babtism comes from a Greek word called Babtismer.
Reconciliation-
The priest welcomes everyone and they make the sign of the the cross. He tells us to trust god and he reads gods word with us. We confess our sins the priest the priest can help us and guides us if we are feeling down or just need a bit of help because were confused. The penance is an act of kindness and prayers. The priest dismisses us by saying ” go in peace we go to peform the act of penance he has given us. The sacrament of reconciliation is that you have your sins forgiven.
Marriage-
Marriage compared to budism, if your both catholic the priest will incomparate a mass during your wedding and if your both not you can choose if you want to or not. There is no seremony in budism they didn’t think it was a actual sacrament. They symbols are two rings together a dove in a love heart. Catholics celebrate marriage because it’s a big and happy moment in two peoples life. The sacrament if marriage is where a man and women establish a partner ship to keep for the rest of there life’s.
The origins are staring your life with some one and dedicating your life to someone.
I have learnt heaps over our sacrament investigation the most interesting thing I learnt about babtism was that is was a greek word called Babtismer. The most intresting fact I learnt about reconciliation that when we make our reconciliation we are having our sins forgiven and starting a fresh trying to be more kind, I also learnt that you make your reconciliation more than once. I didn’t know much about Marrige so it was very interesting to find out about that I learnt if your catholic you can have a mass included in you ceremony but if your not catholic you can choose if you want a mass included In Your ceremony.

Religon
I chose my older cousin Melissa.
I think she shows a lot of generosity and kindness because she is really
calm and gentel and loves to look after people.
She shows it by making people feel good about them selves and making them laugh.
She is good at finding solutions for things and making everyone around her smile. 🙂

Maths homework
What is wind?
Wind is air that is moving. The movement is caused by uneven heating of the earths surface by the sun witch means the hot air rises and the cold air stays to the bottom. When your talking about wind it’s all based around speed and direction.
What causes wind?
As the sun warms the Earth’s surface, the atmosphere warms too. Some parts of the Earth receive direct rays from the sun all year and are always warm. Other places receive indirect rays, so the climate is colder. Warm air rises because it is much lighter. Then cool air moves in and replaces the rising warm air. This movement of air is what makes the wind blow
Wind can change from light breeze to hurricanes. It’s power is measured on the Beaufort scale, named after the Irish admiral who made it. It is measured by a system it looks like this.
Force0: calm
Force1: light air
Force2: light breeze
Force3: gentle breeze
Force4: moderate breeze
Force5: fresh breeze
Force6: strong breeze
Force7: near gale
Force8: gale
Force9: force storm
Force10: storm
Force11: violent storm
Force12: hurricane
Maybe I should give you lots of homework!
